W FOR IT
SOLO — 25 MIN
a journey to the end of yourself, on board the breath
After dancing the couple (Knots, 2010) and questioning fraternal relationships (Frater, 2011), Lucie Augeai and David Gernez return in the solo W for Elle and her male counterpart W for Him about our deep singularity, which shapes her, even beyond our own Sex.
The choice of neutral costumes and gestures, between immobility and loose movements, install, from the first steps, this dance in an asexual, physical and plural score. For what variables, if not our interactions with others and the possible paths they are full of, can affect us? On stage, the other invites himself in the form of elastics that redraw the space to a central meeting point; so many sons who connect us, imprison us, free us… define us.
